The Energist ULTRA^TM system is highly effective in treating a wide range of skin imperfections for both men and women. These include, broken capillaries, sun, liver and age spots, lines and wrinkles, active acne, acne rosacea and acne scaring. Variable Pulsed Light (VPL) as the name suggests, uses a sequence of rapid variable pulses of light emitted from a small glass prism flashlight accurately directed over the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and is turned into heat. These variable pulses ensure more controlled absorption whilst minimising heat in the skin resulting in routinely better results than lasers and other methods of hair removal and skin rejuvenation.

The advantage of VPL is that both large and small areas of the body can be treated very quickly with very little discomfort. The sensation is likened to a rubber band being pinged against the skin. Usually 3-6 treatments are needed to gain a highly satisfactory result and the intervals between treatment are typically 1-3 months.
