VPL Permanent Hair Reduction

Variable Pulsed Light (VPL) as the name suggests, uses a sequence of rapid variable pulses of light emitted from a small glass prism flashlight accurately directed over the skin. The light is absorbed by the pigment in the hair and is turned into heat. These variable pulses ensure more controlled absorption whilst minimising heat in the skin resulting in routinely better results than lasers and other methods of hair removal and skin rejuvenation.

The advantage of VPL is that both large and small areas of the body can be treated very quickly with very little discomfort. The sensation is likened to a rubber band being pinged against the skin. Usually 3-6 treatments are needed to gain a highly satisfactory result and the intervals between treatment are typically 1-3 months.

The Energist ULTRA allows treatment on a wide variety of hair growth and this will be discussed fully during your consultation. A patch test is necessary prior to an initial treatment in line with strict protocols
